The middle of the circle pit may not be the safest place to be for most young children, but with a little assist this youngster got a view most of us could only dream of while watching Slipknot earlier this month. While sitting atop what is presumed to be his father's shoulders, the kid rocked out from the center of a Slipknot circle pit.

The unnamed youth catching this bird's eye view of the show was captured by YouTuber Morgan Pay at the band's April 9 performance in Minneapolis. He essentially is in the eye of the hurricane, as he sits atop his father's shoulders, a mass of "maggots" circle with furious passion as if they're planets in orbit around the sun. But, to make sure that this kid's experience is unencumbered by a stray mosher that could topple the paternal base, several other men have surrounded the father providing a shield from attack.

Whether it's the rapid fire action onstage or the orbiting chaos in his vicinity, this kid is getting a concert experience he'll likely never forget and ensuring his "maggot" status for life. And once again, here's a great video showcasing how the Slipknot fan community looks out for one another.

Slipknot are currently in between legs of their Knotfest Roadshow. Having just wrapped dates with In This Moment and Wage War earlier this week, the band catches a breather before starting the next leg May 18 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania with Cypress Hill and Ho99o9.
