Horror movies and heavy metal have always had a symbiotic connection, and it will all come to a head with the upcoming release of the movie American Satan. The movie is produced by Sumerian Films, and will feature a diverse cast including Andy Biersack (Black Veil Brides, Andy Black), John Bradley (Game of Thrones), Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) and more. Recently, a new trailer came out for the movie, ahead of its Oct. 13 release.

The trailer tells a story of a band trying to make it in the seedy world of Los Angeles. The group runs into a dark, mysterious figure who promises them fame and popularity, but at a very sharp price both for themselves, and the world at large. It's a classic story of horror and rock music, taking both worlds to an entertaining apex.

The movie also brings out a wide cast of characters, including Ben Bruce (Asking Alexandria), Olivia Capulo (Miss Universe), Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga, X-Men: Days Of Future Past), wrestler Bill Goldberg and more.

Of the film, director Ash Avildsen says, “This story comes from a very real place. I dropped out of college to pursue a career in music. I’ve toured as both an unsigned and a signed artist. I’ve been a promoter, a booking agent, a manager, a producer and am an active record label owner. With the exception of a physical manifestation of the devil and an angel, everything in the film is based on real events that either myself or the producers of the movie have experienced in our careers working with bands. I’m excited for our music community to go on this ride and understand why we chose the Neil Young quote, ‘Rock & Roll is where God and the Devil shake hands,’ to be put on top of the poster at theaters.”

Last month, a music video was released for "Let Him Burn," a song written by the fictional band in the movie The Relentless, with Andy Biersack at the helm.
