A song from DJ, producer and programmer Jauz has been released that features late We Came as Romans vocalist Kyle Pavone. Titled "Frequency," the song will be featured on Jauz‘s new album, The Wise and the Wicked, which is due out tomorrow (Aug. 31).

It premiered on Alternative Press and was accompanied by an interview with Jauz, who reveals that he grew up listening to We Came as Romans as a fan and later developed a friendship with Pavone. "Kyle was someone whose music I’ve listened to since I was 14," he said. "We Came as Romans were and are one of my favorite metal bands of all time, and becoming friends with Kyle when I was 19 was probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do."

He also spoke on how the song came to fruition. "He flew out to L.A. and recorded the vocals with me in just a few hours, and the whole song just clicked. The gang vocals chorus that Kyle and I added into the song really gave it that metalcore/electronic fusion that we were aiming for, and it felt like I had finally achieved my teenage dream of writing a metalcore record, but in my own way."

Pavone died last Saturday (Aug. 25).The news was confirmed via the band's socials where they released an official statement. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
