For all you hardcore A Perfect Circle fans out there, we've got some good news for you. The band has just announced that they will be playing one single show in the U.S. this year on Dec. 29, and if you want a clue as to where the elusive band will be performing, it's not in a city that both singer Maynard James Keenan and late comedian Bill Hicks have hoped to one day call "Arizona Bay," but it's pretty close by.

Luckily, if Keenan gets his wish of Los Angeles detaching from California and floating off into the Pacific Ocean, you'll still be able to see A Perfect Circle if you take the famous Interstate-15 highway to Las Vegas. As you pass through 'Bat Country' with a flyswatter and a very full briefcase, you'll find yourself getting closer and closer to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, where A Perfect Circle will take the stage on Dec. 29.

Tickets for the one-off show will be available to purchase on Sept. 15, with special VIP tickets to be made available on that same day.

In other Maynard Keenan news, Tool have revealed that they are currently writing a new album, with the most recent update on the progress of Tool's fifth full-length record coming from drummer Danny Carey in a recent interview.

Tickets for A Perfect Circle's 2012 Las Vegas show will be made available through Frontgatetickets.com beginning on Sept. 15.
