Alter Bridge Have Completed Working on New Album
Alter Bridge have completed working on their new album, according to a Twitter update from bassist Brian Marshall. According to the musician, the artwork for the follow-up to 2016's The Last Hero is "looking sick" as well, leaving album mastering as the only remaining task. The band's yet-to-be-named sixth studio record is expected to be out in the fall.
The group were clearly not messing around when it came to getting the forthcoming effort complete. As of the end of April, guitarist Mark Tremonti, who finished touring in support of his conceptual album A Dying Machine earlier this year, stated that Alter Bridge had 10 songs complete with four left to go.
In February, the guitarist told Audio Ink Radio that the plan was to have the album out in the fall, with October as the specific target. "I’m trying to make it not be the same. We always try to reinvent ourselves with every record," he said of album number six's direction.
Until fall, vocalist Myles Kennedy can be seen singing with Slash and the Conspirators around the world in support of their 2018 album Living the Dream. The tour is hitting South America, Europe, Canada and the U.S. See the dates here.
