Babymetal are set to invade the U.S. and Europe once again. They will bring their live spectacle to the states in May before heading across the pond for the summer festival circuit.

Babymetal’s rise is completely unprecedented when it comes to 2010s metal. The only new band able to play arenas around the world, the rise of the Japanese girl trio has been as sensational as it was unlikely. Putting together a truly bizarre, heavy and hyper-technical style with J-pop sensibilities, Babymetal became undeniable to millions… and they’re still teenagers.

As fans await Babymetal’s third studio album, the Metal Resistance will hit America from May 8 in Kansas City to May 20 at Rock on the Range in Ohio. Europe will be treated to Babymetal beginning June 1 at Germany’s Rock am Ring and rolling on until Download UK on June 9.

These shows will be Babymetal’s first since the sudden death of guitarist Mikio Fujioka, the group’s main shredder at live shows. Fujioka reportedly fell from an “observation deck” on Dec. 30, succumbing to his injuries on Jan. 5.
