Lots of news to report for Blink-182 fans out there. After Tom DeLonge's latest departure from the band, Blink recruited Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba to take on DeLonge's guitar and vocal duties. Now, not only are Blink back in the studio, but DeLonge has gone on record saying he would like to play with his Blink brothers once again.

Blink-182 have gone through two extremely messy breakups in the past decade. Both times, a lack of direct communication between DeLonge and his Blink bandmates caused things to get ugly quick. However, this is the first time Blink decided to continue on without DeLonge instead of disbanding entirely.

Mark Hoppus and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, Hoppus revealed Blink's return to the studio.

As for Tom DeLonge, he recently spoke with Billboard about what's been on his mind concerning Blink-182. "I think about that band every single day of my life—sometimes multiple times a day," says DeLonge. "I love those guys and I love the band and, yeah, in the future let's play together and figure it out or whatever. We just need time apart because we all want different things at this time. Those guys want to play the music and tour all the time, but I'm involved in some very big shit and some very important stuff.”

Stay tuned for more news on Tom DeLonge and the current incarnation of Blink as news breaks.
