Rock trio Chevelle are set to release their sixth album, ‘Hats Off to the Bull,’ on Dec. 6, and they'll mark the occasion with a Dec. 8 appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

The no-nonsense rockers recently debuted the first single ‘Face to the Floor’ and frontman Pete Loeffler calls it “an angry song.” Inspired by the hurt caused by the Ponzi scheme Bernie Madoff executed, Loeffler explains the song in more detail, "The lyrics are about all the people who have been taken advantage of,” and continues to say about Madoff, “He raked people over the coals, stole and is a terrible person. One day, these people have everything, and the next day it's completely gone."

Drummer Sam Loeffler also weighs in on the writing and recording ‘Hats Off to the Bull,’ saying, “It's really important to be aware of what you've done already. We never want to write the same song twice.”

Producer Jo Barresi encouraged the band to try new techniques and new instruments and the results were many new nuances. Fans will be able to experience those nuances through the sounds of talk boxes, reverb and organ beats throughout the new tunes.

Chevelle will celebrate their new album with an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Dec. 8, so tune in to hear their new songs and cheer on the spirit of the underdog.
