Drowning Pool have had a long-standing relationship with the USO (United Service Organizations) and are set to embark on their fifth run performing for the troops overseas. The latest trek comes in conjunction with the USO's "Campaign to Connect" and will see the anthemic hard rockers perform three shows in two countries.

The first USO show will come at Anderson Air Force Base on April 6 in Guam, followed by two performances in Japan: one at Kadena Air Base on April 8 and the second the following day at Camp Foster. These shows will add to Drowning Pool's USO résumé which already counts 14 military bases in five countries — United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Iraq and Kuwait — furthering their connection with the military.

For Drowning Pool, entertaining the troops hits close to home as three of the band's members have direct family ties to the military. Guitarist CJ Pierce's father-in-law served in the Navy, bassist Steve Benton's father is a Vietnam veteran and drummer Mike Luce's brother is currently enlisted and serving.

Pierce commented on the upcoming performances, stating, "We love giving back, it's the least we can do. There are a lot of families involved in the armed forces and we love giving them a hand. It's definitely great for us to go overseas and play at different bases. I think 2005 was our first one (Iraq and Kuwait) and it's personal for us. Each one of us has someone in our family somewhere in the armed forces and it's all about those friends and families."

The USO is enjoying its 75th anniversary in 2016 and has launched a digital message platform that will continue throughout the year in an effort to further connect with the military. The goal has been set to one million messages and anyone looking to extend their gratitude for service members can click here and select from a template or create a custom message of their own.

Drowning Pool's latest album, Hellelujah, was released on Feb. 5 through eOne earlier this year and landed at No. 6 on the U.S. Hard Rock chart. The record brought punchy new singles like "Snake Charmer," "Hell to Pay" and "By the Blood."
