It was two years ago today (May 24) that beloved bassist and Slipknot founding member Paul Gray passed away. Gray struggled with drug use for any years, ending with a tragic accidental overdose of morphine and fentanyl. The loss of the bassist was a heartbreaking blow to fans and his fellow members of Slipknot -- a band that Gray helped catapult into one of the biggest metal acts of all time.

Gray was one of three classic Slipknot members to record the band's first demo, 'Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat,' along with drummer Joey Jordison and percussionist Shawn Crahan. Having later united with the nine 'true' members of the band, Slipknot released their self-titled album and achieved enormous success with songs such as 'Wait and Bleed,' Spit it Out' and Surfacing.'

With Gray acting as a creative leader within the band, Slipknot achieved unique peaks which very few bands have been able to even graze. Before Gray's 2010 death, Slipknot released the immensely successful 'Iowa' in 2001, 'Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)' in 2004 and 'All Hope Is Gone' in 2008.

To celebrate one of the masterminds of modern metal, we want to know which Slipknot album is your favorite. Take a minute to remember the life of the man also known as #2 and vote in the poll below.
