For Today Bring Illuminating Show to New York City With Like Moths to Flames + More
A couple of years ago, we caught For Today opening up for The Devil Wears Prada. But this past weekend, For Today had a sold-out show of their own at the Gramercy Theater in New York City. Support included stellar sets by Like Moths to Flames, Stray From the Path, The Plot in You and Fit for a King.
Headliners For Today took the stage by storm in support of their brand new album ‘Fight the Silence’ released earlier this month. Fans were anything but silent during the entire performance as a violent and massive mosh pit overtook most of the floor. New songs that were heavily embraced by fans included ‘Break the Cycle,’ ‘Pariah’ and the album's title track.
Frontman Mattie Montgomery was both reverend and frontman as he vehemently preached the word of God in between gut-wrenching tracks. Whether you are “of faith” or not, one thing that could not be argued was For Today’s relentless energy onstage and the crowd’s forcefulness on the floor.
Like Moths to Flames went above and beyond with their live show as they heated things up at Gramercy Theater. The Ohio metalcore band are touring in support of their latest record ‘An Eye for an Eye’ released last year. Even though they are still in the early stages in their career, with their vigor and their supportive fanbase, Like Moths to Flames will soon be headlining shows of their own.
Long Island boys Stray From the Path gave a crushing performance to their hometown crowd with their hardcore sound and style onstage. Opening bands The Plot in You and Fit for a King got the packed house pumped early on in the night. Check out a list of For Today's remaining headlining tour dates here.
