February is the month where things tend to pick up again after the post holiday lull, as evidenced by a fuller new release schedule. And with so many options, we wanted to know which new release you wanted to pick up. In one of the most competitive races yet, Kid Rock's 'First Kiss' was chosen by Loudwire readers as the February 2015 release of the month.

As stated, it was one of the tighter races yet, with 'First Kiss' besting Falling in Reverse's 'Just Like You' by a few hundred votes, while 36 Crazyfists' 'Time and Trauma' also put up big numbers finishing third in the voting.

Rock stated early on that he as not satisfied with his 'Rebel Soul' album and was anxious to step up his game with the 'First Kiss' disc. Fresh out of the gate, Rock dropped the nostalgic yet instantly catchy title track that is definitely a solid start.

With it being Kid Rock, you can also look for a variety of rockers, some country-tinged tracks, a little bit of soul and even some of the hip-hop influences that permeated his early music. Rock just released the Hank Williams Jr. tribute 'Jesus and Bocephus' that finds him rocking a church organ. Other standout include the pointed rocker 'Good Times Cheap Wine,' the ballad 'Drinking Beer With Dad,' the poignant 'Best of Me' and the swagger-filled 'Ain't Enough Whiskey.' Plus the album comes with a tribute to Johnny Cash aptly titled after the late icon.

'First Kiss' is a solid addition to Rock's catalog and you can currently pick it up in a variety of bundle packages at this location. Rock is also expected to hit the road in support of the album. At present, he only has a pre-race concert at the Daytona 500 on Feb. 22 scheduled, but look for more shows coming. Stay abreast of his tour dates here. 'First Kiss' arrives in stores Feb. 24.

Once again, congrats to Kid Rock as his 'First Kiss' album has been voted as Loudwire's February 2015 Release of the Month.
