Breakout hardcore stars Knocked Loose continue their parade of metallic aggression on "Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory," the latest explosive single from the band's A Different Shade of Blue album, out Aug. 23.

Released Tuesday (July 23), the song follows this spring's releases of "...And Still I Wander South" and "Mistakes Like Fractures," the first two tracks heard from the Oldham County crew since their debut Laugh Tracks dropped in 2016. Listen to "Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory" down toward the bottom of this post.

The breakdown-heavy tune contains grim lines such as, "I plucked the petals from all my roses / Leaving a pile of stems/ I drain the beauty that's left in this world / Leaving myself condemned." Prior to its debut, the new single was uncovered by Knocked Loose fans on Reddit as early as Monday (July 22), Theprp reported.

Following the album's release, Knocked Loose will be touring North America throughout the fall with help on most dates from Rotting Out, Candy and See You Space Cowboy. See all their concert listings below.
