The details for the memorial services for GWAR’s Cory Smoot, aka Flattus Maximus, have been announced. The service is scheduled for tomorrow, Nov. 11, at the Bennett Funeral Home Chesterfield Chapel at 14301 Ashbrook Parkway in Chesterfield, Va. The memorial services start at 4PM and are open to the public.

If you cannot be there but would like to pay your respects, contributions are being accepted for the ‘Smoot Family Fund.’ The fund was set up to benefit Cory and his wife Jaime's unborn child, "Lil Smooty."

Smoot’s obituary has also been posted, for fans who want to learn more about the man behind Flattus Maximus. The tribute calls him “unique” before pointing out that in addition to being an amazingly gifted musician he was also “genuine, humble, devoted, generous, tender-hearted, loyal, fun-spirited, ambitious, intelligent, courteous and polite.”

It continues to say, "Cory is a real legend that was taken too soon in life and away from his calling as a son, brother, husband, father and musician. He will always be remembered by those who truly loved him and knew who he genuinely was. He will never be forgotten!"

Cory Smoot was found dead on GWAR’s tour bus on Nov. 3.

GWAR will cancel two shows on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 to attend the services.
