Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Arrested for Allegedly Skipping Court Date
Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has been arrested yet again. At a Hermosa Beach, Calif., show, on Saturday night (April 30), Scantlin was immediately handcuffed after walking offstage and taken to jail for reportedly skipping a court date tied to his trespassing and vandalism case from earlier this year.
In early January, Scantlin was arrested on suspicion of breaking into his former home and vandalizing some of the property. According to TMZ, Scantlin has now skipped two court dates related to the charges, which led to his latest arrest Saturday night by a bail bondsman. Scantlin’s bail was reportedly jacked up to $250,000, with Scantlin still in jail as of Sunday morning.
TMZ captured Scantlin’s arrest, which happened immediately after the musician walked off stage. You can check out that footage above.
2015 saw Wes Scantlin being arrested multiple times for charges like Driving Under the Influence and Driving While Intoxicated. He was also arrested just after Christmas for possession of a controlled substance.
This year, Puddle of Mudd shows have been the sight for various breakdowns, with Scantlin accusing a fan of stealing his house before ending a concert early; shutting down a show prematurely after yelling at a sound guy; and Scantlin’s entire backing band walking offstage as Scantlin had yet another onstage meltdown. Scantlin was also involved in a standoff with 30 police officers several weeks ago.
