Slipknot / Stone Sour Singer Corey Taylor Recites Haunted Encounter From New Book
Right on the heel's of Stone Sour's fifth studio album, 'House of Gold & Bones - Part 2,' and the release of Corey Taylor's second graphic novel inspired by the 'House of Gold & Bones' storyline, the Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist is soon to release his second book, 'A Funny Thing Happened on the way to Heaven (Or, How I Made Peace with the Paranormal and Stigmatized Zealots and Cynics in the Process).' To help promote the upcoming memoir, Taylor has revealed a small, yet unsettling part of the book, which the musician reads aloud.
During a recent interview we conducted with Corey Taylor, he was open about being a staunch atheist, although he also carries a strong belief in the paranormal. 'A Funny Thing on the Way to Heaven' addresses these beliefs and although some may see them as conflicting, Taylor is more than comfortable to share his views with the world.
In a reading posted on YouTube, Taylor offers a taste of his new book, which depicts a spooky encounter with a mysterious man/ghost within the fabled Slipknot mansion:
I was alone in our (Taylor and Shawn Crahan's) rooms. The door to our room was shut and locked, the doors to the balcony were shut and locked, but the door to the bathroom was wide open. I was taking a shower, getting ready to hit the town with a vengeance. I was in a great mood, singing along with the Bee Gees and washing all my filthy bits that needed immediate attention. The shower curtain was open a smidge and could see the room from my vantage point. I looked up. A man in a tuxedo walked past the open door, staring right at me.
'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven' will drop on July 16. To pre-order the book, click here.
