Fans of The Sword won't have to wait much longer for new music, as the band is set to unleash a new album this summer. The group has been spending time in the studio working on the follow-up to Apocryphon, and is now spilling a few key details on the disc.

The new disc will be called High Country and it's set for an Aug. 21 street date around the world, with the exception of France, where it will arrive a couple of weeks later on Sept. 4. The disc consists of 15 new songs and will be available in both CD and double vinyl formats.

The Austin, Texas-based rockers stayed at home to record the disc, setting up shop with producer Adrian Queseda. After the recording was complete, they turned the disc over to J. Robbins to be mixed.

Europe will get the first taste of touring in support of the new album. The band just announced a 25-show trek that launches in Trondheim, Norway, on Aug. 21, and runs through a Sept. 19 finale in Bristol in the U.K. Look for more dates to be announced in support of the High Country disc. The group is already planning to be on tour through the remainder of 2015 and 2016.
