Eight new bands have been added to the lineups for the Canadian Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. festivals in August. Deftones, Dethklok, Voivod, Sword, Trivium, Emmure, Diemonds and Dance Laury Dance will perform at the shows in Toronto and Montreal.

Previously announced bands that will play Aug. 11 and 12 at the festivals include System of a Down, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse, Suicidal Tendencies, Five Finger Death Punch, Kataklysm, Gojira, Protest the Hero, Overkill, High on Fire, Veil of Maya, Job for a Cowboy, Goatwhore and more.

The same lineups will play at both the Heavy T.O. (Toronto) festival and the Heavy MTL (Montreal) festival, which are being held simultaneously. Saturday's lineup at Downsview Park in Toronto will be the Sunday lineup at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, and vice-versa.

With more than 30 bands playing over two days, it is a diverse and high-quality lineup for Canadian metal fans, and certainly worth a trip for those fans in the United States and beyond.
