Black Veil Brides have just announced their split with bassist Ashley Purdy. The band shared the news on their social media platforms.

"Black Veil Brides and Ashley Purdy have mutually agreed to part ways. We have enjoyed a wonderful run together and both parties wish one another continued success moving forward," the group wrote. The parting of ways comes just days after they announced a tour with the theatrical metal outfit In This Moment, which begins in March of next year.

Purdy joined Black Veil Brides in 2009, three years after the band's formation, and appeared on all five of their studio albums. It has not yet been confirmed who will fill in on bass for the group's upcoming tour or if a permanent bassist is waiting in the wings. See the tweet from Black Veil Brides announcing the news below and view the band's 2020 tour dates further down the page.
