Fear Factory's latest album Genexus is set to be unleashed on Aug. 7. Just over a month later, frontman Burton C. Bell will release the graphic novel The Industrialist.

Bell collaborated with artist Noel Guard, who illustrated the graphic novel that's based on Fear Factory's 2012 album The Industrialist. Bell says, "That album is the soundtrack to this novel, and it follows the story within these pages. Noel Guard has accurately rendered the characters and scenes, and he captured the images as I saw them in my own mind. I foresee a great future for Mr. Guard."

When it comes to science fiction, Bell says he became a fan at a young age. "As far as I can remember I have been a a fan of science fiction," he says. "Watching episodes of Twilight Zone and Star Trek lead me to read Robert A. Heinlein by the time I was 8."

Bell continues, "I started writing concepts for Fear Factory during the Demanufacture writing process. The sci-fi element integrated itself into the band’s philosophy and concepts This early influence has directed my path of creativity to enjoy science and the future of humanity. I am fortunate to be able to write my ideas into music that I love."

Pre-orders for The Industrialist graphic novel, which will be available in limited edition of 500 copies, are available at this location. The 36-page book is expected to ship beginning Sept. 12.

Fear Factory will be embarking on a tour in support of Genexus with Coal Chamber beginning July 24 in Tucson, Ariz.
