Greta Van Fleet Rock the Desert in ‘When the Curtain Falls’ Video
Not a lot is known about Greta Van Fleet's forthcoming debut record other than it will be out this year and contains the electrifying song "When the Curtain Falls." Now, the classic rock styled act has issued a video for the track, which can be seen above.
Set in the desert, the clip was shot with Super 8 film, invoking a sense of combing through old vacation footage from decades past when their biggest influences dominated the globe. With guitarist Jake Kiszka plugging into an actual rock, the video kicks off with the young band, only to introduce mystical characters and celestial events as the clip continues.
The band is in the midst of a massive world tour that will carry on until mid-November and you can see the remaining stops here. They're currently supporting both of their 2017 EPs, Black Smoke Rising and From the Fires, the latter of which was among the 10 highest selling rock albums thus far in 2018 as of early July with 109,000 copies sold.
With their still untitled debut album on the horizon, Greta Van Fleet stoked anticipation with their first television appearance, performing "When the Curtain Falls" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.
“We had all these songs we wrote three to five years ago that we were just going to put on the album. It very quickly became all new material, so I’d say about three-quarters of the songs are songs we wrote in the studio,” bassist Sam Kiszka recently told us about the new record. “It just happened very quickly, we got everything done in two weeks. We were aching to make this album.”
