Munky Selling Korn ‘Follow the Leader’ Stage-Used Anniversary Show Guitars for Charity
In August, Korn's multi-platinum third album, Follow the Leader, turned 20 years old and in September, the band paid tribute to the record with a trio of special anniversary shows. The set featured seven cuts from Follow the Leader and Munky celebrated the occasion by rocking six custom guitars featuring the historic album's artwork. Now, you have a chance to own one for yourself and do a bit of good as some of the proceeds will benefit the Extraordinary Families adoption and foster charity.
Up for grabs are six Ibanez Ampex200 guitars adorned with the iconic album art, each numbered and signed by Munky himself and you can see them up close in the video above.
“It’s been 20 years since Follow the Leader came out. We wanted to do something special to mark the anniversary; I wanted to do something with Ibanez to mark this era and create a cool piece of memorabilia," begins Munky. "The guitars have the album cover on it and just look amazing. The model is one of my signature guitars and it’s cool because I actually performed with the guitars during these shows. Part of the proceeds will go to an adoption charity, which is really true to my heart because I’m adopted and I don’t think a lot of people know that about me. Three special shows, six special guitars. It’s been a blast.”
