Killswitch Engage reunited onstage with former vocalist Howard Jones during their performance at this year's Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ 2019) in Canada on Monday (July 8). With Jones — who currently performs in Light the Torch, a band that also appeared at the annual event — Killswitch played "The End of Heartache."

It was a full-circle finale in the festival set from the metalcore mainstays, whose new album Atonement comes out Aug. 16 and features a guest contribution from Jones. Watch fan-captured videos of the performance down toward the bottom of this post.

The surprise live collab followed last year's revelation that Jones had recently joined founding and current KsE frontman Jesse Leach in the studio. (Jones took Leach's place when the original singer left the group in 2002, and he played with the band until Leach's return ten years later.)

Jones also joined the band onstage in London last year to perform "The End of Heartache."

The song hails from the act's 2002 album of the same name, which was their first to feature Jones following Leach's departure. Earlier this year, guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz said the band won't do an anniversary tour to celebrate the linchpin release.

But Killswitch Engage still hit the road this summer with Clutch for a North American tour starting today in Ontario, Canada, before covering much of the United States up through August. See the dates below.
