Korn Officially Start Tracking for New Album
And so it begins! Korn have spent most of 2018 on a break, but the band has used that time off to compile ideas for their next album. Now it looks as though the group has started the recording process, with drummer Ray Luzier posting a photo from his recent tracking session via Instagram.
"Great day of tracking at Rock Falcon Studios," says Luzier, who also may have tipped off the producer for their band's next disc, hashtagging Nick Raskulinecz and also mentioning Music Row and Music City, references to Nashville. In addition to Luzier's post, Korn guitarist Munky also commented on a tweet with a simple "Yes," and emojis for a CD and a checkmark.
Though Korn have been dormant for much of the year, the band did announce a trio of September dates where they would revisit their Follow the Leader album for its 20th anniversary. All three dates come in the Western U.S. with stops in San Francisco (Sept. 12, The Masonic), Los Angeles (Sept. 13, Hollywood Palladium) and Las Vegas (Sept. 15, Pearl Concert Theater).
While sessions appear to have begun, singer Jonathan Davis still has some solo work to do this fall. The musician, who issued his first solo album Black Labyrinth earlier this year, recently announced new tour dates for the fall. See all the stops here.
