Back in November, Black Veil Brides and bassist Ashley Purdy made their split official. Now, a month later, Purdy has resurfaced with his first solo track, a song called "Nowhere."

The song is a slow-building rocker, starting with a hypnotic vocal that builds with intensity as it heads toward the heavier chorus. You can check out the song in full in the lyric video below. If you like what you hear, the track is currently available via Apple Music, Amazon and Spotify.

In the aftermath of the split, Black Veil Brides moved quickly to pull in Lonny Eagleton as their new bassist. Eagleton had already been playing as a member of the Andy Black band, so the transition was a familiar one. The group then issued a new two-song EP titled The Night.

As for Purdy, he revealed shortly after the split was announced that he was working on new music of his own, with "Nowhere" now being the first track to arrive. Stay tuned to see what else will follow.
