Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Shares New Album Update From the Studio
Slipknot have a new album coming out in August, and three huge tours — one with Metallica — lined up through the end of the year. But if you found yourself this week wondering exactly where the band were at in the recording process, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson answered that call Wednesday with a brief studio update. Watch it below.
The musician began by rebutting rumors that yesterday (April 3) was his birthday, but he closed the selfie-style message by reiterating exciting news for Slipknot fans, the act's supporters who are often known as Maggots.
"I am lounging out for a second," Wilson explained while taking a break from tracking his contributions to the album. "I'm at the Slipknot studio sessions laying the last of my parts down, as a matter of fact."
His album update echoed that of his Slipknot bandmate Corey Taylor, who himself shared a studio selfie earlier this year. "All Out Life," the first new Slipknot song in four years, was released last October.
"It's getting closer, y'all," Wilson added. "Stay tuned."
